Thornlie senior football club
THE MIGHTY LIONS
Thornlie Senior Football club was formed in 1970.
Today, they proudly field four senior teams competing in the Perth Football League - League (C1), Reserves (C1R), Colts (IDC) and Women (WC3).
Over the last 55 years, the club has achieved four League Premierships, six Reserves premierships, four Colts Premierships and three E Grade (formally WAFA) premierships.
Along with these successes they have also been involved in a further (11) grand final appearances across various grades.

Inaugural team
In 2023, the club proudly kicked off a new era of opportunity and empowerment with the launch of an inaugural female football team - uniting passion, talent, and determination on and off the field.
The heart of the club hosts players, coaches, managers, trainers, supporters, and sponsors - a number who have been associated with the club for many years, and without their ongoing support, it would be very difficult to put our sides out each week.\Through a strong coaching group, the club remains a strong and viable, and continues to preserve core values of integrity, passion and community.
Player development and retention remains a focus, with efforts put into a mentoring program to advance and support the player group. The program will also be invaluable in transitioning players from the junior football club to senior football level.
A “Past Players Association” will further encourage retired players and support staff to remain involved with the club, ensuring the club retains these valuable assets, and acknowledges the club’s valued history and traditions.
