thornlie lions golf club
The Golf Club, according to our records was started in 1992. The first President was John Campbell; Secretary, Doug Bennett; Treasurer, Gary Reschke; Captain and Handicapper, Kevin Richards.
Our season begins mid January, playing every second Sunday until mid December. Stewie Brisbane is our current Captain, works hard booking many challenging courses throughout the year.
The last two years in October, the club has had a weekend away playing at the Vines on both courses, it's a truely fun weekend away.
All our members enjoy each others company and women are also encouraged and welcome to join.
Sadly over the years, we have lost some members to the great golf course in the sky. In February we have a memorial day to remember them.
